Mission
The Office of Student Experience is committed to helping you have a positive experience at Lindenwood University. Commuter students bring a set of unique experiences to our campus but can sometimes face different challenges in regards to balancing home, social, work, and academic responsibilities. The main purpose for commuter programming is to ensure that your needs are met as a commuter student and that you feel part of the larger Lindenwood community.

Goals
The Office of Student Involvement works to serve commuter students at Lindenwood by striving to:
- Inform you of campus events
- Provide space for you to relax and study
- Create an opportunity to learn more about the resources and departments on campus
- Foster a sense of belonging on campus and introduce you to other students with similar interests
- Provide accessible services in the Office of Student Involvement and serve as a liaison between commuters and administration
Learning Outcomes
Through their interactions with commuter programming, commuter students at Lindenwood University will:
- Develop a sense of self-awareness and learn how to make informed decisions
- Exhibit a range of leadership skills and appreciation of people from different backgrounds
- Be able to navigate the Lindenwood community to properly identify resources and support services on campus
Resources
Did you know there’s a lounge just for commuter students?
Commuter students are welcome to use the Commuter Lounge on the third floor of Evans Commons. This lounge has a microwave and refrigerator for students to store and cook their food throughout the day.
Building hours vary during breaks but during the school year, Evans Commons is open:
- Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Mane Connection keeps you update on all student organization and events happening on campus!
To join student organizations on campus:
- Access Mane Connection by clicking on “Portals” on the Lindenwood website.
- Enter your Lindenwood username and password to enter Mane Connection.
- On the home page of Mane Connection, click on “Organizations”
- You’ll see the option to search for organizations by name, keyword, or category
- Once you’ve located the organization(s) you want to join, click “Join”.
To find events on campus:
- Access Mane Connection by clicking on “Portals” on the Lindenwood website.
- Click on “Events” at the top of the page. You can search events by the organization hosting, by the category of organization hosting, or even by theme or perks.
Make certain your vehicle is registered!
If you will be driving a car to campus, you will need to register your vehicle through StarRez and pick up your parking pass from the Public Safety office at 1905 First Capitol, Suite A, Saint Charles, MO 63301. Parking passes are included in cost of attendance through tuition or fees. The Memorial Arts Building (MAB) parking lot is the official commuter parking lot on campus. You can park anywhere on campus unless there is a reserved sign for that spot.

Commuter Programming
- Commuter Appreciation Week – Held once a semester to celebrate commuter students and provide a week of free activities and food.
- Commuter Connects – Monthly events where commuter students can learn about the different resources on campus, meet fellow commuter students, and enjoy a break from their busy schedules with some free food!
- Commuter Lunch – Held 3 times a semester providing commuters with a free lunch, giveaways, and helpful resources.
Your safety is our top priority!
The Office of Public Safety and Security is office is available 24/7 and the phone number is (636) 949-4911. There are a number of services that the Office of Public Safety and Security can provide to you.
- Patrol
- Public Safety Officers patrol the University 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Officers operate fully marked identified as Lindenwood University Public Safety & Security.
- Escorts
- Public Safety Officers are available 24 hours a day to provide escort service to and from any location on the Lindenwood St. Charles campus.
- Jump Starts
- Public Safety Officers will assist stranded motorists on the Lindenwood St. Charles campus. In most instances, officers will provide a jumpstart for vehicles that do not start. If the officers are not able to get the vehicle started, they will assist the motorist in helping locate a local service provider that will help them.
- Keys Locked in your Vehicle
- If you lock your keys in your vehicle, public safety officers will assist you in locating a local service provider that will assist you in getting your keys out of your vehicle.
- Flat Tires
- Public Safety Officers will assist you in locating a local service provider that will assist you in changing the flat tire.
