Scholarships & Grants

Lindenwood University is pleased to offer a number of grants and scholarships to incoming first-year students, transfer students, and continuing students. A student may receive a scholarship because of financial need, academic merits, artistic or athletic talents, or for other criteria set forth by endowed scholarship donors.

Merit Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded based on a student’s GPA and standardized test scores at the time of admission. Amounts range from $1,000 – $8,500.

Endowed Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, scholarships are awarded to students of all levels. We have a wide range of criteria, including financial need, majors, academic level, etc. An additional application is required. Amounts range from $500 – $4,000.

Need-Based Grants

Lindenwood University is committed to helping students with high financial need. A FAFSA must be filed to be considered. We have a range of need-based grants from $100 – $5,000.

Leadership Grants

Students participating in student life sports and other areas of leadership are eligible for Leadership Grants.

Fine and Performing Arts Grants

Students participating in performance groups on campus are eligible for Fine and Performing Arts Grants.

NCAA Scholarships

Lindenwood University is a member of the NCAA Division II. Scholarships are available and may be awarded to students participating in one of our NCAA sports at the discretion of the coaches.

Character Grants

Lindenwood is pleased to offer a number of Character Grants to outstanding youth who have worked for, volunteered with, or been served by some of America’s premier youth-serving organizations. An additional application is required. Amounts range from $500 – $5,000. This award is only offered to new students.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Lindenwood University is committed to assisting all members of the community in providing for their own safety and security. The annual security and fire safety report is available on the Lindenwood University Office of Public Safety and Security website. 

If you would like to receive a hard copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, which contains this information, you can stop by the Office of Public Safety and Security at 110 S. Kingshighway, or you can request that a copy be mailed to you by calling 636-949-4687.

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety, including topics such as crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures, and other matters of importance related to security on campus.  The report also contains information about fire statistics in Lindenwood University residential facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Lindenwood; and on public property that is within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

This information is required by law and is provided by Office of Public Safety & Security.
