Course Description
This workshop takes as its core guide Jane Smiley’s monumental Thirteen Ways of Looking at the Novel as an entry point into drafting (or redrafting) a significant chunk of a novel project. Through reflective assignments, generative writing exercises, and a handful of workshops, students will be able to articulate the trajectory of their work and leave the course with significant forward momentum for a work in progress.
