Bruce Hornsby and yMusic to Perform at Scheidegger Center

Bruce Hornsby and yMusic are set to perform at the J. Scheidegger Center on the campus of Lindenwood University on Friday, March 15, at 8 p.m.

Hornsby is a distinctive American songwriter, pianist, and three-time Grammy Award winner. He first rose to prominence with his debut album, “The Way It Is.” That track became the No. 1 hit on song in 1987, while Tupac Shakur’s timeless song, “Changes,” builds on “The Way It Is.” Hornsby has sold more than 11 million records worldwide and has solidified his status as a highly sought-after collaborator. He has appeared on more than 100 records, including releases with Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, and many others.

Founded in New York City in 2008, yMusic believes in presenting excellent, emotionally communicative music. Their execution and unique configuration (string trio, clarinet, trumpet, and flute with vocals) has attracted the attention of high-profile collaborators, such as Ben Folds, Paul Simon, and Bill T. Jones.

Tickets are available for purchase through the LU Box Office.

Bruce Hornsby and yMusic will offer students, faculty, staff, and surrounding community members a chance to experience a thrilling musical production.
