Lindenwood University will host its annual Homecoming Weekend to celebrate alumni through a variety of activities and events.
Homecoming Weekend begins Friday evening with the Lindenwood University Gala at the Foundry Art Centre. Join alumni, employees, and friends for a night of fantastic food and specialty entertainment, and purchase tickets online. The evening begins with a cocktail hour, and the start of the silent auction. Lindenwood alum and MLB Network host Greg Amsinger, the evening's emcee, will invite guests to take their seats for dinner service by Russo's as student performers from Voices Only fill the Foundry Art Centre with harmonious sounds.
Saturday morning celebrates Lindenwood’s rich history in the city of St. Charles, as the Homecoming Parade makes its way down Historic Main Street beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will feature Lindenwood students representing the University, organizations, clubs, teams, athletics and academics. In addition, several local businesses join Lindenwood in the parade to celebrate their involvement in the community. The parade will also be streamed for neighbors and friends who are unable to attend in person.
Follow the parade to the University’s campus for the Lion Pride Tailgate which begins at 11 a.m. Saturday. Complete with more than 20 local vendors, the tailgate delights with live music, great food, locally brewed beer, and exciting giveaways.
After the tailgate, head into Hunter Stadium for the 1 p.m. football game kick-off. Lindenwood matches up against Ohio Valley Conference, Murray State. At halftime of the game, the University’s homecoming court will be announced.
Saturday also marks the end of the 2022 Food Fight, which offers local restaurants and eateries the chance to compete for the best Lindenwood themed offering. Voting is open throughout the week and include coffee favorites, tasty desserts, and meals to enjoy.
