The College of Education and Human Services has partnered with Hope Montessori Education Institute. This partnership provides Montessori employees who complete their in-house training with academic credit toward a University degree program.

“Creative partnerships, such as our new agreement with Hope Montessori Educational Institute are so important in meeting the needs of our students and our communities,” Provost Dr. Bethany Alden-Rivers said. “We look forward to the new opportunities this partnership with Montessori will provide and how Lindenwood will be able to fulfill our academic mission in new ways.”

Hope Montessori Educational Institute attendees included Vice President of Operations Jamie Dodd and Academic Director Cate Epperson. In addition, Lindenwood University had several administrators and faculty from the University in attendance, including Dean of the College of Education and Human Services Dr. Anthony Scheffler.

“Our partnership with Hope Montessori Educational Institute is the most recent example of our commitment to advancing the College of Education and Human Services’ mission through a mutually beneficial collaboration with our community partners. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership provides for our students, and we look forward to working closely with the Hope Montessori team,” Scheffler said.

Lindenwood University and Hope Montessori provide quality education to students and enrich their communities. “This is one of several examples of how Lindenwood is using its new process for credit for prior learning to construct meaningful pathways for adult learners,” Alden-Rivers shared. The agreement allows Montessori training completers to apply 18 prior learning credits towards a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and serves as a final component in degree completion. The University is also exploring additional opportunities at the graduate level.
