LindenGiving Cleans up St. Charles Park

LindenGiving, a community outreach endeavor, partnered with St. Charles Parks on Wednesday for a service project at DuSable Park and the Motorcycle Training Center. Volunteers from across campus gave their time to grounds clean up and trash collection to beautify the park space. In addition, volunteers painted three sheds on park grounds.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the community of St. Charles,” said Beverly Porter, chair of LindenGiving. Under Porter’s guidance, LindenGiving has fulfilled several initiatives in its inaugural year with more planned throughout the summer.

LindenGiving is planning another event in late summer to benefit the St. Charles community, and will continue outreach initiatives throughout the 2021-22 academic year. To make a gift to LindenGiving or for more information, please visit the website.
