Lindenwood Named to Phi Theta Kappa’s 2023 Transfer Honor Roll

Lindenwood University has been named to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s Transfer Honor Roll for the third year in a row, the organization announced in a press release June 9.

Phi Theta Kappa recognizes the dynamic pathways Lindenwood has created to support transfer students, and Lindenwood is among more than 200 higher education institutions recognized this year.

“To be recognized for our support of PTK members and transfer students makes me incredibly proud of the work we do here at LU,” Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions and Enrollment Management Rachel Imming said. “We truly are a transfer-friendly institution and we’re constantly looking for ways to make the transfer process ore seamless for our students.”

Featured at the American Council on Education conference last year, the Transfer Honor Roll recognizes the importance of building strong transfer pathways that help produce excellence and success among community college transfer students.

Colleges were selected to the Transfer Honor Roll based on a Transfer Friendliness Rating, a score determined by each institution’s transfer profile located in PTK Connect, Phi Theta Kappa’s online tool that helps students find their colleges.

“The goal of most students attending community college is a bachelor’s degree, but few do because of financial barriers and the complexities of the transfer process,” Phi Theta Kappa President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner said in a press release. “We are proud to recognize the exceptional colleges and universities that go above and beyond to create accessible pathways to bachelor’s degree completion for community college transfer students.”
