New to the Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Egilmez joins the Management Department. From Antalya, Turkey, Egilmez specializes in business analytics, machine learning, optimization, and sustainability. “I love teaching and working at academia. There are several reasons about my choice of Lindenwood. Among many, I like to share the following reasons: being an established institution starting as a school for girls, great people that I met from my department and college during my interviews, beautiful campus, and kind and considerate admins and staff,” Egilmez shared. Egilmez holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, a master’s in Transportation Engineering, a master’s and PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University.

Lis Erickson, PhD

Lis Erickson

Joining the Sport Management Department, Erickson’s area of specialization is women in sport, and philanthropic fitness events. Originally from Waterloo, Ia., Erickson now calls St. Louis, Mo. home. “As a Sport Management professor, I get to use my 10 years of experience in athletics, my education, and my research to help students prepare for their own careers in the world of sport. Sport's role as a multi-billion dollar business, plus its huge influence on our culture, fascinates me, and I love learning and teaching about the industry. I love teaching classes where I get to focus on college athletics and the NCAA. I have the best job,” Erickson said. Erickson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Wartburg College, a master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a PhD in Health & Sport studies from the University of Iowa.
