With a voice that blends the soul of traditional country with the presence of a modern performer, Ruby Leigh has made her name in the music industry. Since her debut on “The Voice” in 2023, Ruby Leigh has taken the stage at some of the country’s most iconic venues, including the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium. On May 29, the Missouri native returns to her home state to perform at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts at Lindenwood University. 

Ruby Leigh’s journey started in Foley, Mo., only a half hour from St. Charles. At age 16, Ruby Leigh auditioned for “The Voice,” where she performed the song, “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart.” Having impressed each of the show’s judges, Ruby Leigh went on to be mentored by Reba McEntire. Ruby Leigh made it to the series finale, where she finished runner-up. Now, she has more than 60,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Ruby Leigh performs nationwide, bringing acoustic energy that blends country with some of her favorite rock artists.
