From O’Fallon, Missouri, Vogeler specializes in pharmacology, medical, surgical, and mental health. She holds an MSN from Northwest Missouri State University and a BSN from the Goldfarb School of Nursing in St. Louis.

Her favorite quote is: "Remember who you are and what you stand for."

“I say it to my kids and students all of the time,” Vogeler said. “I chose to work at Lindenwood because I love the fact that it is a major university right here in St. Charles. I love that we live in this amazing small city and can provide a high-level education to our students here at Lindenwood.

“I want to help build a top-quality nursing program here in my city. I worked in the ER throughout my nursing career and that was where I discovered my passion for teaching. I love to teach new nurses and help them develop a passion for nursing and helping people.”

Lindenwood welcomes Mary Silverglate, who will serve as a mathematics instructor beginning this fall. A product of Aurora, Colorado, she has earned a plethora of academic degrees. She graduated with an MA in mathematics from Saint Louis University, an MS in education from Johns Hopkins University, and a BA in statistics and economics from the University of Chicago.

“I love teaching all types of mathematics, but algebra and statistics are my favorite to teach,” Silverglate said. “I am excited to become a part of an innovative, student-centered community here at Lindenwood.”

Rochelle Horn is from Carl Junction, Missouri, and will teach paramedicine. She holds a BS from Missouri Southern University. She has worked in the clinical setting for the last 28 years.

“Joining Lindenwood's Paramedicine program is an opportunity to advance paramedics to the next step in the emergency medical field,” Horn said. “I could not be more proud to be a part of this program and assist in its growth in this community. I felt a calling to pursue a career teaching full-time and bring my knowledge and experience to the students in the classroom.”

Michael Nolan, MSEd

Michael Nolan joins Lindenwood University and will teach in the graduate athletic training program. A product of North Platte, Nebraska, Nolan holds a BS in athletic training from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a MSEd in kinesiology.

“(This) has been a desire of mine since leaving the clinical setting for academia,” Nolan said. “Lindenwood is an established university with a focus on students and a purpose to provide real experiences preparing them for career success. I am excited to join a department with research-minded faculty striving to stay current with evidence-based teaching. I enjoy teaching biomechanics, upper body assessment, and emergency care.”

He specializes in plant population genetics but also is trained in cell and molecular biology, along with ecology and evolution. He is from Chatham, Illinois, and holds a PhD in biology from the University of Cincinnati and a BS in biology from Northern Kentucky University.

“When I first visited Lindenwood, it felt very familiar,” Stokes said. “It was not because I had taught at a similar sized university or that I had been to an equally beautiful campus. It was because at Lindenwood, I found common cause with the faculty, staff and administration. Like my own, Lindenwood's priority is the students.”
