Luke Nicholson, DBA

Dr. Luke Nicholson will start teaching at Lindenwood University this fall. Specializing in accounting, specifically in the financial and managerial accounting fields, Nicholson is from Streamwood, Illinois. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in business from Greenville College (now University), his MBA from McKendree University, and his Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Walden University.

“I chose to work at Lindenwood for several reasons,” Nicholson said. “One reason is the sense of community among faculty, staff, and students at Lindenwood. All of the faculty and staff I have interacted with have been welcoming and kind. What excites me most about joining our already thriving team is the opportunity to work alongside exceptional individuals who will help me grow and flourish as a professor.

“One reason I became a professor was to help students reach their full potential. I find joy in having the opportunity to help students build various skills they will use in their careers. I believe as professors, we are responsible for helping students not just get through the material, but enjoy what they are learning, too.”
