Earning a Master of Fine Arts in Cinema and Media Arts
As an MFA student in cinema and media arts, you’ll take courses that incorporate a blend of communication theory, studio art, art history, creative writing, and media production. You’ll learn firsthand how to use the latest tools in motion picture production to weave a story that is a compelling work of art.
Classes are designed to give you a broad range of experience in audience analysis, interactive design, video editing, scriptwriting, motion graphics, digital illustration, modern drama, and creative writing. Mane Media Productions and J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts
At Lindenwood University, we know the importance of having hands-on, creative learning opportunities when it comes to growing as a professional artist. Our cinema and media arts students not only benefit from skilled professors, but they also work with the latest creative tools in our on-campus television studio, Mane Media Productions, and the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts.
Learn what it takes to work in video production, television programming, and screenwriting when you join Mane Media Productions, the university’s own cable television station. Get inspired by the artwork and stunning performances in music, dance, and theater at Lindenwood’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. This state-of-the-art facility features two professionally-equipped theaters, an art gallery, dance studios, computer labs for programs in music, fashion, and graphic design, private music practice rooms, and acoustically engineered orchestral and choir rehearsal halls.
