The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Lindenwood University is designed to meet the academic requirements toward licensure as a Professional Counselor set forth by the State of Missouri. Upon completion of the Program, students may choose to pursue licensure as a Professional Counselor. Professional licensure is regulated by the Missouri Committee for Professional Counselors. Students applying for licensure as a Professional Counselor through the Missouri Committee for Professional Counselors will need to verify graduate coursework completed at Lindenwood University. In addition to supplying an official copy of graduate transcripts, students will need to document course equivalents of the content areas required by the State of Missouri. To assist with this section of the application, students should reference the Verification of Coursework for Missouri LPC Supervision and/or Licensure document. Students should be aware of the various requirements for the state. Requirements for professional licensure can be found at http://pr.mo.gov.
