Your Voice Matters at Lindenwood University Libraries
At Lindenwood University Library, we believe in the power of ideas — even those that challenge, inspire, or provoke debate. Our collections are designed to support academic inquiry, intellectual freedom, and respectful discussion across a wide range of viewpoints.
We understand that some materials may raise questions or concerns. If you find a title that you believe warrants reconsideration, we welcome your input.
What You Can Do:
- Ask questions: Speak with a librarian to learn more about how and why materials are selected.
- Share your perspective: Complete a Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials available at the Circulation Desk or use the online link. A library representative will respond promptly.
- Stay engaged: Your feedback helps us ensure our collections remain inclusive, relevant, and aligned with our academic mission.
The libraries’ full Challenge and Reconsideration Policy outlines the review process and ensures all concerns are treated with fairness and respect.
“The freedom to read is essential to our democracy. It is continuously under attack. The freedom to read must be protected if our democracy is to survive.” — Freedom to Read Statement, American Library Association
