Selecting a Major

Many pre-chiropractic students select Exercise Science as a major. However, students may select any undergraduate major to chart their course of studies.  When selecting a major, two points to consider are the overlap between major requirements and chiropractic school prerequisites and interest in major content coursework.

There is no pre-chiropractic major at Lindenwood. Rather, select your preferred major and notify your academic advisor so they can work with you to ensure proper enrollment in chiropractic school prerequisite courses.

Prerequisite Coursework

Many chiropractic schools require 24 credit hours of science coursework with half of those credits having corresponding labs. With this requirement, specific courses are not designated, but there are some that are highly suggested, including: anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, physics, biomechanics, biology, and chemistry.

Prerequisites can vary from school-to-school so it is important to explore requirements early.

Articulation Agreements

Lindenwood has established articulation agreements with other institutions to provide benefits to our students. Students, of course, are not limited to the programs in the articulation agreements.
