Show your love for Lindenwood

Due to measures put in place to promote your health and safety, we are unable to host Homecoming or Dark Carnival this year. We know that this may come as a disappointment to many of you.

Therefore, we have decided to implement a new weeklong series of events that adhere to our safety guidelines, with many engaging activities for our Lindenwood Family.

Kick Off & Town Hall

Monday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m.

Join President Porter, the Lindenwood Student Government president, and Alumni Relations as we kick off spirit week with university updates, spirit week details, and updates for our alumni & friends. First 500 people to register and attend the town hall will receive a Spirit Week t-shirt!

Hallowed Walls

Set Up: October 22 - 25

Lindenwood students, here is a chance to celebrate your organization! Showcase your artistic talents by painting a mini mural. The mini mural should incorporate your pride for Lindenwood and your organization. Mini murals will be displayed along Butler Way Street. Three winning organizations will receive $100 in org money and points towards their organization.

Mini murals will be evaluated on three criteria: visual impact, creativity, and LU Spirit.

Participants must adhere to the following rules:

  • Your mini mural must be decorated prior to Oct. 26
  • Mini murals must adhere to all organization conduct guidelines.

Organizations must register by 10/16/20 to participate. The university will provide the mini mural wall, a painting kit, and a drop cloth. Winners will be announced during the Let’s Get Quizzical Spooky Spectacular. See InvolveU for more details and registration.

Food Fight

October 26 - 31

Eateries are showcasing LU themed menu items for Spirit Week and need your support! Check out these eateries and vote for your favorite. The eatery with the most votes will win the coveted Food Fight Trophy. Check out the featured menu items and cast your vote.

T-Shirt Giveaway

Students, Faculty and Staff- Get your spirit week t-shirt while supplies last! Visit a t-shirt station at either the Pavilion, the LARC or Evans Commons from 1-5 pm.

Window Decorating

October 27

Show your pride and artistic abilities! Decorate a window in Evans Commons for spirit week. Check out InvolveU for more details.

Door Decorating Competition

October 27

Out-boo your neighbors by decorating your door with a spooky Lindenwood theme. Faculty, staff, and students can spend the day decorating department or office doors to show your Lindenwood spirit, and Halloween haunts.

Decorated doors will be evaluated on four criteria: visual impact, creativity, LU spirit and craftsmanship. Winners will be announced Oct. 28. Four winning entries will each receive $25 in dining dollars.

Participants must adhere to the following rules:

  • Do not damage the door or surrounding wall; please use acceptable adhesive materials.
  • Decorations may not obstruct or prevent easy access to the department/office.

The university will not provide a budget for this event. Participants may enter the contest by emailing a photo of their door to Emily Sebourn at and include, “Door Decorating” in the subject line. The deadline to enter is midnight on Oct. 27.

Let's Get Quizzical Spooky Spectacular

October 28, 7 p.m.

Get ready for a spooky spectacular featuring haunting trivia and more! Join the party on Zoom from a computer and log into Kahoot from your mobile device. The Zoom link and additional details will be emailed to all registered participants. The winner for the evening will receive an XBOX as the grand prize! Twenty other winners will receive a $10 gift card.

LU Cribs

Showcase your living space and enter the LU Cribs Competition! Whether you’re living on-campus or learning from home, this contest is for you. The contest features two categories: LU Housing and LU At Home. One winner from each category will receive a Nintendo Switch Lite!

Alumni Hallo-Zoom Party

October 30 at 7 p.m.

Calling all alumni! Join us for a spirited Hallo-Zoom party. There will be spooky conversation, special Lindenwood backgrounds, a costume contest, and information about the new alumni lounge. Winner of the costume contest receives a Lindenwood alumni swag box.

Digital Lion Dance

October 30 at 8 p.m.

Dance the night away from the comfort of your own room. A special concert by Queens Blvd will be available for streaming. Share a picture of you enjoying the concert in your Halloween costume on our Instagram page and you could win a prize. Streaming link will be shared on InvolveU and the Events page of the website.
