I am enrolled in class; now what?
Congratulations! At this point, you are likely enrolled (or will soon be enrolled) as the newest Lindenwood Lion. You have an exciting first semester ahead, but, before you get there, you likely have several questions. The following resources will help you prepare to take your first steps as an official Lion.
Enrolled Student Information
The information below will help you complete the enrollment process and complete any timely follow-up items after your enrollment.
First Semester Enrollment
Once a student has been admitted a Professional Advisor will enroll them in classes their first semester. The student will be sent a welcome email containing information about their class schedule and program. The welcome email will include an appointment link to meet with their advisor to go over everything, ask questions, and make schedule adjustments if needed.
This schedule is to get the conversation started, and students can make any changes they would like up until the start of classes.
Onboarding Support
College is such a new experience, many students don't even know what questions to start with. Lindenwood's First Year Programs team offers summer orientations, webinars, and programming all intended to help students find their way at Lindenwood. Their webpage is a great place for new students and families to explore.
Pre-Move-In Communication
Students often have questions about how to find a room, when they come to campus, and what the should/should not bring to their Residence Hall. Lindenwood's Residential Life department will send vital communication to students all summer long, and offers several self-service guides on their webpage.
Meal Plan
All students who live on campus are required to keep a meal plan. First time freshman are required to select a specific plan, but, as a student continues at Lindenwood, more flexible options become available. All meal plans can be found on the university website.
Working on Campus
Lindenwood offers on-campus employment opportunities to students. These jobs are typically competitive, and students can see all currently available student employee positions online.
GradGuard Tuition Insurance
If a student has not already done so, this is a great time to consider GradGuard tuition insurance. GradGuard allows students to take out an insurance policy to protect their financial investment in case a life emergency prevents them from completing the semester. Students can visit GradGuard's website for more information or to obtain a quote.
Student Health Insurance Plan
This is also a great time to determine if you need to opt in or out of the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Student Athletes and International Students are required to sign up for the SHIP or receive an approved waiver verifying they have equivalent coverage. All other students can pay to opt into the SHIP. More information about the policy, opt in/out processes, and coverage can be found online.

What follows are common questions students have after completing their enrollment at Lindenwood.
Is there a student code of conduct?
Yes! The Student Handbook can be found on Lindenwood’s website. The handbook contains vital information including policies about academic expectations, accessibility, restrictions, conduct, hazing, health, safety, dining, student employment, and more.
Where do I access my Student Email/Student Portal
Student can access all vital student technology via the university's internal MyLindenwood landing page. For both security and ease of access, Lindenwood uses a Single Sign On system. Once a student logs into MyLindenwood, they can find links to their email, Student Portal, and Canvas.
Where do I submit my Immunization Records?
If a student is required to provide immunization records or apply for an immunization waiver, they will receive communication from our partner organization, CastleBranch, with instructions on how to provide their medical record. More information about how to contact CastleBranch and what vaccinations might be required can be found here.
How do I reset my password?
Students can use the university Self-Service Password Reset tool here to reset their password.
Can I have an Emotional Support Animal on campus?

How can I apply for housing or academic accommodations
Lindenwood is committed to the well-being and success of all students. Who can help me with my immigration paperwork?
Students can visit the International Admissions team in Spellmann Center for support with their immigration paperwork, regulations, and requirements.
For NCAA Athletes-How will I know if my schedule compliaes with NCAA regulations?
The university's Athletics department will review every student schedule and assess it for compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. If an NCAA athlete needs to change their schedule, it is their responsibility to contact their NCAA Academic Coordinator to discuss how the change may impact their eligiblity.

Now that you are enrolled, you are probably eager to start class. Answers to common post-enrollment questions can be found below.
What should I do after receiving my scheudle?
We recommend setting up a time to meet with your advisor. Contact your advisor to make an appointment to go over degree requirements, ask questions, and make schedule adjustments if needed. You can also begin reviewing your required books and materials online.
Did my credits transfer?
Students can access their Unofficial Transcript from their Student Portal. Once transfer credit has been awarded, it will appear at the top of the unofficial transcript.
If you are not seeing your credit, make sure you have submitted your official transcripts to Lindenwood (transcripts for any dual-enrollment credit you took will have to come from the partner colleges, not your high school).
If you still do not see your credit after a few weeks, check with your academic advisor.
What is my timeline to graduation?
The university is working on updating our electronic degree auditing too;. While the tool is under development, students should contact their advisor to discuss their graduation goals and degree progress and to review their Program Planning Guide.
What does it mean to be a fulltime student? Is that important?
For undergraduate students, full time enrollment is 12 or more credits per term. Being a fulltime student can be vital. Athletic participation, international student eligibility, some scholarships, and on campus housing are a few common examples that require students to be enrolled fulltime.
Enrolled Student FAQs (Financial)
Now that you're enrolled, you're probably thinking about how much you how and how to pay for classes. The following are common questions students in your situation have.
Can I quality for scholarships?
Possibly! If you have not done so already, you should complete the FAFSA. This will initiate the review process for many scholarship, grant, and federal loan programs.
Students can also view and apply for funding opportunities via ScholarshipUniverse.
Where can I find my bill?
Students can view their bill in their Student Portal. In the lefthand navigation bar, students can select My Finances and Account Information to view their current bill.
Note: it may take a few days for the ledger to adjust. If you recently enrolled, the classes may not have populated to the bill yet.
How do I pay the university?
Students can find the payment portal within their Student Portal. In the lefthand navigation bar, students can select My Finances and Make Online Payment/View 1098T to submit a payment. Students can also commit to a payment plan within this same link.
Can I apply to work on campus?
Yes! Students can view and apply for current student-employee positions here.
How can I cover my balance?
Students have several options to pay for their Lindenwood education. From institutional grants to outside scholarships, the options are numerous and vary by student. Luckily, your Student Financial Services counselor is an expert and is here to support you. You can identify your counselor at this link and reach out to them to set up a time to talk through your payment options.
When is payment due?
All tuition and fees are payable prior to the start of class. Undergraduate semester tuition and fees (or written commitment to a payment plan) are due July 15 for fall semester and December 15 for spring semester. Tuition and fees are due by the first day of class for Graduate and part time students.
What is Federal Work Study and do I quality?
Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federally funded program designed to provide employment to students with financial need. If you are interested in FWS employment, the first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Fill out your FAFSA early as funds are limited. Upon completion of your FAFSA, your financial aid advisor will assist with eligibility and packaging.
Fifty percent of the student employee positions at Lindenwood are designated for FWS students. These positions are part-time and can be on- or off-campus. If you are interested in FWS or unsure of your eligibility, contact your financial aid advisor. Find contact information for your financial aid advisor.
Enrolled Student FAQs (Housing)
Much of your college experience will occur in the classroom, but you will also spend much of your time in the residence hall. Below are common questions about housing newly enrolled students ask.
What should I bring to my residence hall?

What meal plans can I chose from?
Lindenwood offers a variety of meal plans; however, most first year students are required to use the basic meal plan. Information about all meal plans can be found on the university website.
How do I access StarRez
StarRez is the university's internal system for housing enrollment and vehicle registration. Students can access the system here.
When can I see my room?
Lindenwood hosts a variety of camps and events over the summer, so it may not be possible to see your room until move-in day. That being said, there are likely similar rooms you can tour. If you have any questions about your room's dimensions or would like to tour a space, contact ResLife@lindenwood.edu.
How do I change rooms/roommates?
Students can request to change rooms after the first few weeks of classes. Students seeking a change should contact their Community Coordinator or ResLife@lindenwood.edu.
While general room changes cannot occur until after the first few weeks of the semester, the Office of Residence Life will consider emergency room or roommate changes on a case-by-case basis. Students should contact the office if they have an immediate or pressing need for a room change.
How do I find a roommate?
New students can search Roommate Groups within StarRez to identify students who might be a good match. If two students would like to room together, they can contact ResLife@lindenwood.edu to discuss how to match with their roommate.
If a student does not identify an individual with whom they would like to room, the the Office of Residential Life will automatically match roommates based on preferences listed in StarRez (such as cleanliness, noise preferences, preferred waking hours, etc.)
