Instructions for Graduating Students

Here's what you need to do and where you need to be in order to receive your degree.

Friday, December 13, 2019 at 7 p.m.

Graduate Students

  • Commencement will be held Friday, December 13, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the St. Charles Family Arena.
  • Students should arrive by 6 p.m. at Gate 4 to check-in; the gate will open at 5:30 p.m.
  • We will confer all doctorate, specialist, and master’s degrees.
  • Students will receive a card at the check-in table. The card includes the student name and line-up information. Please keep this card with you during the ceremony and make sure you have it when you walk toward the stage. You will present the card to the reader on stage.
  • Students will line up and march into the arena with their academic schools.
  • Guests will not need tickets for the ceremony. Guest seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The guest gates (1, 2, or 3) will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 13 at the Family Arena located in St. Charles. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for the events to allow time for traffic, parking, and metal detectors at the entry gates, and to assure easy access to seats and services.
  • Guests: Gates 1 and 2 will close 10 minutes before the start of each ceremony to allow the student procession to move into its starting place. These gates will re-open after all students have entered into the arena floor.
  • Restroom areas of the St. Charles Family Arena will be available as dressing areas. Lindenwood staff members will be present to provide assistance. No security will be available to protect personal belongings. Please do not expect to leave clothing or valuables in the dressing areas during the ceremony.

Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Undergraduate Students

  • Commencement will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the St. Charles Family Arena.
  • Students should arrive by 9 a.m. at Gate 4 to check-in; the gate will open at 8:30 a.m.
  • Students will receive a card at the check-in table. The card includes the student name and line-up information. Please keep this card with you during the ceremony and make sure that you have it when you walk toward the stage. You will present the card to the reader on stage.
