The Sibley Scholarship is Lindenwood’s premier scholarship for exemplary student leaders. This competitive scholarship recognizes students who exhibit high academic achievement, community service, co-curricular involvement, and leadership.
The Sibley Scholarship is awarded in a range and could cover up to full tuition and room & board for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Sibley Scholarship will exceed and replace any Merit Scholarship that a student is offered.
To be eligible for the Sibley Scholarship you must be a new, first-year student who has applied and been admitted to Lindenwood University as a freshman for Fall 2021. Applicants must also fulfill the following requirements:
- Have earned a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 (out of a 4.0 scale), as reported on your official high school transcript.
- Submit a personal essay answering the following question: Describe a personal achievement you are proud of and how it has positively impacted you and others (such as your school, club or sports team, religious group, or community).
- Submit a resume.
- If selected as a finalist, must be able to attend an on-campus interview in February 2021.
- A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is preferred, but not required.
The Sibley Scholarship is renewable each year, up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters. For renewal, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be a residential student. Renewal eligibility will be reviewed at the end of each academic year.
The application deadline is Sunday, January 8, 2021.
After a committee review of applicant submissions, Lindenwood will invite finalists to interview on-campus.
