Lindenwood University has implemented a phased return to campus and will begin the fall semester as scheduled on August 24. Sibley Scholarship

The Application Period Has Ended.

The Sibley Scholarship is Lindenwood’s premier scholarship for exemplary student leaders. This competitive scholarship recognizes students who exhibit high academic achievement, community service, co-curricular involvement and leadership.

The Sibley Scholarship is awarded in a range and could cover up to full tuition and room & board for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Sibley Scholarship you must be a new, first-year student who has applied and been admitted to Lindenwood University as a freshman for Fall 2020. Applicants must also fulfill the following requirements:

  • Have earned a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 (out of a 4.0 scale), as reported on your official high school transcript.
  • Submit a personal essay answering the following question: Describe a challenge you have overcome.
  • Submit a resume.
  • If selected as a finalist, must be able to attend an on-campus interview on February 21, 2020.
  • A completed FAFSA is preferred, but not required.

Renewal Criteria

The Sibley Scholarship is renewable each year, up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters. For renewal, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be a residential student. Renewal eligibility will be reviewed at the end of each academic year.


The final application deadline is Sunday, January 5, 2020.

After a committee review of applicant submissions, Lindenwood will invite finalists to interview on-campus.
