Pitch Development & Competition
The pitch deck is a critical tool used by entrepreneurs to attract investor interest, recruit key employees, and lay the strategic foundation for a company's path forward. In his workshop, Vik will walk students through the fundamentals of establishing a business narrative and creating an effective pitch that can be used in meetings with venture capitalists and at pitch competitions and everything in between.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Vikram Lakhwara has over two decades of experience working with entrepreneurs as an investor, advisor, consultant, and business development and partnerships professional. This includes reviewing thousands of pitch decks for potential investment, judging pitch competitions, and helping founders prepare and win pitch competitions like TechCrunch Disrupt and Shark Tank. Vik has made 25 investments, of which 11 have had successful exits, including to Apple, Autodesk, Uber, John Deere, and Zynga. Vik is the co-founder and General Partner of Green Cow Venture Capital and the co-host of DrinksWithAVC podcast.

Creating a business plan can be overwhelming and no one really has time to read one fully. A Lean Canvas replaces elaborate business plans with a single page business model. A Lean Canvas can be used to quickly persuade others that working with you (or investing in your business) is a smart decision. Experienced founders will walk you through deconstructing your idea into key assumptions followed by some customer discovery techniques that can help you validate your idea fast!

Gv Freeman is a Growth Strategist with over 20 years of experience living at the center of a marketing, product, sales & self-care Venn diagram. A multipotentialitie at heart, Gv’s interests and experience span the roles of entrepreneur, executive, coach, marketer, salesman, product manager, DJ and Yoga teacher. Grounded firmly in the cornerstones of alignment, strategy, and process, Gv pulls from these disciplines to help startups launch, companies grow, and entrepreneurs live an integrated life.
Pravina Pindoria is from England and moved to St. Louis after winning an Arch Grant for Tallyfy - a B2B SaaS company that automates tasks between people. As Co-founder of Tallyfy, Pravina helped raise $2.6m in seed funding from investors in St. Louis and Silicon Valley. Pravina helped the company get its first 100 customers and $1m revenue with less than a MVP. Pravina has deep experience in the customer discovery process, UX, product management and scaling a tech startup with a remote workforce. Through Tallyfy, Pravina has consulted and helped other tech-enabled companies unlock further economic efficiencies, find new markets and scale their operations through workflow automation.
Passion Into Paycheck
Passion into a Paycheck is a program designed to inspire and guide teenagers who are interested in entrepreneurship. The program aims to help teenagers identify their passions and turn them into viable business ideas. It provides resources about business planning, marketing, finance, and other important aspects of starting and running a successful business. The program emphasizes the importance of creativity, innovation, and hard work, and encourages teenagers to take risks and learn from their mistakes. Through Passion into a Paycheck, teenagers can gain the skills and confidence they need to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and turn their passions into profitable ventures.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Devon Moody-Graham, MBA is an International business strategist, author and community leader dedicated to seeing a positive shift in economic development through entrepreneurship in underserved communities. For over 14 years, Devon has been dedicated to using entrepreneurship as a tool to build sustainability and generational wealth for startups especially in minority communities. She is building a pipeline for international business expansion for minority-owned businesses. Her experience and partnerships have brought over $4M in capital to small businesses. She has worked with over 1000+ businesses and 15,000 youth and young adults in entrepreneurship and professional training over the last 13 years to bring awareness to the feasibility of wealth building. Her strategic approach to guiding clients to sustainability using her network of connections that takes small business and corporate clients to the next levels of innovation and revenue generation. Her current focus is on Startup Sustainability with her R3 Method focusing on Relationships, Resources, and Revenue.
