New Student Orientation

Start your Lindenwood experience with confidence.

New Student Orientation (NSO) is your introduction to life as a Lindenwood Lion. Designed for new first-year and transfer students, Orientation helps you get connected, learn your way around campus, meet the people who will support you, and prepare for your first semester.

Orientation is designed to help you feel ready for your first day—and everything that comes after. During NSO, you’ll have opportunities to:

  • Meet your people — Connect with other new Lions and begin building your campus community.
  • Find your way — Get familiar with campus, important locations, and resources available to you.
  • Get prepared — Connect with your academic advisor and learn more about the people and services that will support your success.
  • Ask questions — Get answers about academics, student life, financial services, residential life, and more.
  • Start your Lindenwood journey — Learn what it means to be a Lion and begin finding your place at Lindenwood.

New Student Orientation includes a dedicated Parent and Supporter Track designed to help families and supporters feel prepared to support their Lion’s transition to Lindenwood. While students participate in programming focused on their transition to campus, parents and supporters can attend sessions designed specifically for them, connect with campus partners, learn about key university resources, and get answers to their questions.

Orientation is offered each semester, with dates and programming designed for the students joining Lindenwood. Once you are admitted and eligible to attend, you’ll receive information about available Orientation dates, registration, and what to expect.

Check your Lindenwood email regularly for Orientation updates and next steps.

Your Lindenwood journey starts before your first class. Orientation is your opportunity to start making connections, finding your way, and discovering your place in the Lion community.

Orientation registration opens each semester.
