Special Notice Regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic

Complete the Initial Assessment Survey to report symptoms, exposure, or positive test results of COVID-19.


Target Date: June 1

Returning Population: Vice-Presidents, Assistant Vice-Presidents, Deans (including assistant and associate).

  • All Vice Presidents, AVPs, and Deans will return to campus on a part-time basis in order to assess and address work spaces based on the parameters that employees need to remain 6 feet apart as much as possible and groups need to be limited to 10 people or fewer. Work days on campus will be Monday through Friday.
  • Evaluate and Prepare Office Spaces
    • If not already completed, determine if desks need to be moved and where in order to meet distancing standards. For cubicles and other shared areas, articulate what other spaces can be used. Moving employee(s) to a different, existing work space should be considered before moving furniture.
    • Based on distancing protocols, determine number of on-campus staff needed in order to continue providing student services.
    • Develop rotating schedules for staff aimed at providing student services and meeting distancing protocols.
    • Determine ingress/egress points at their buildings.

Phase 2

Target Date: June 15 2020

Returning Population: Directors and mid-level managers

  • All Directors and mid-level managers will return to campus according to the rotating schedule and safety protocols developed in Phase One. Directors and mid-level managers will begin to assess and prepare for all employees to return.
  • Determine and outline necessary protocols for their specific spaces such as kitchens, restrooms, etc. These protocols should specify how often staff should wipe down shared surfaces and personal spaces.
  • Assess, modify, or develop effective business processes based on a rotating staff schedule and aimed at providing needed student services.
  • Determine supplies needed to support staff both in the office and remotely.
  • Train and prepare employees for returning to campus.
  • Enact recommended physical measures in campus spaces to properly effect necessary distancing.
  • Faculty provided access to campus as necessary to prepare classes/online lecture for fall (esp. Sciences and AMC). Deans will be responsible for approving and facilitating faculty access until 1 August 2020.


Target Date: July 15

Returning Population: Remaining Staff

Public Safety will no longer enforce campus entry and barricades will be removed from campus entry points.

  • Remaining staff return to campus based on established rotating schedules and are focused on preparing the campus for the return of students.
  • Staff will follow the division protocols and preparation actions identified in the division-specific annexes.


Target Date: August 13-17

Returning Population: Faculty

Student Check-In

All faculty return to campus. Deans are responsible for monitoring access to buildings and limiting faculty numbers appropriately at any given time to assure distancing guidelines are observed.


Target Date: August 10 and Beyond

Returning Population: Students

  • August 10 - Community Advisors
    • Check-In will be 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • August 14 - Lion Leaders
    • Check-In will be 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • August 17–19 - First-Year and New International Students
    • Check-In will be 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • August 20–23 - Returning Students, New Transfers, and Lindenwood University-Belleville Transfers
    • Check-In will be 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
