Hours and Appointments

The Writing Center is typically open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend availability vary by semester and can be viewed online using the WCOnline software system. Please use WCOnline to make an appointment.

  • First time users will need to register a free account prior to viewing consultant availability.
  • Make sure you select the “St. Charles Writing Center” option on the login page.
  • Appointments must be made 24 hours in advance.
  • Please allow a proper time frame for the consultant to edit your paper. A half-hour appointment is sufficient only for papers that are 5 pages or fewer. Papers over 5 pages will need an hour-long appointment. If your paper is longer than 15 pages, you will need to make multiple appointments over a couple days.
  • Making an appointment during the day is strongly encouraged in order to guarantee you will be seen; appointments are mandatory during evening and weekend hours.
  • Please make sure to bring a printed copy of your paper to the appointment.
  • The Writing Center is not a drop-off service; you will need to stay during your appointment in order to review your paper with the consultant.
  • You are limited to an hour and a half’s worth of appointments a week.

For online appointments, please refer to the information on the Online Appointments page.

If you are unable to meet with one of our Consultants either online or face-to-face, Lindenwood has partnered with tutor.com to provide educational services to the students outside of standard hours. Please refer to Student Advising and Support Services (SASS) for more information.
