The math placement exam is used to place you in a mathematics course that is required for your program of study or into a mathematics course that will strengthen your mathematics skills.
Students transferring mathematics credits could be waived from their mathematics requirements if the course aligns with their degree’s mathematics requirements. If the transferred course does not satisfy their degree requirement, that individual will be placed in the appropriate mathematics course determined by that of the most recent mathematics course they successfully completed.
The mathematics placement exam is done through CANVAS. You will receive an email from the Mathematics department with details on how to access the placement exam. In the CANVAS course there are several practice exams that you can take prior to taking the placement exam. You will need your login credentials to access CANVAS.
