Lindenwood Teams Up with Cardinals for Girls Softball Clinics

Lindenwood University’s NCAA Division I Softball program teamed up with the St. Louis Cardinals this summer to take part in a St. Louis tradition—the Cardinals Kids Clinics. Now in its 20th year, the clinic introduced softball-specific sessions for the first time. To help launch this new chapter, the Cardinals invited Lindenwood Softball student-athletes to serve as guest instructors.

Hosted by the St. Charles Main Street Foundation, the One Main Awards recognize organizations and individuals who make an impact on the community. Lindenwood’s baseball and men’s rugby teams each took home Organization Awards.

Women's Volleyball Wins OVC Championship With 3-0 Sweep Over Morehead State

Lindenwood women's volleyball (23-10, 14-4 OVC) was crowned the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Champions after defeating #4 Morehead State by a final score of 3-0. It marked the first conference championship in program history at the Division I level and LU's most wins in a season since 2011.

Women’s Soccer Wins OVC Championship 3-2 Over Morehead State

Women's soccer (10-5-4, 4-1-4 OVC) took on Morehead State (9-7-6, 4-3-2 OVC) in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Championship. After falling behind 2-0 early, the Lions were able to come back and score three unanswered goals, to win the OVC Championship 3-2.

Associate Professor of Exercise Science Dr. Petey Mumford played a significant role in helping graduate student Connor Gaige’s thesis be published in the American College of Sports Medicine Journal, “Exercise, Sport, and Movement.”

2023 Football Season Kicks Off Today

The 2023 football season kicks off today when Lindenwood University welcomes the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to Hunter Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and a short fireworks display will follow the game.
