Public Safety and Security Receives National Accreditation

Lindenwood University’s Department of Public Safety and Security has received accreditation from the National Association of College Safety Administrators. The NASCA accreditation commission evaluates university safety departments and awards recognition on several criteria including excellence in training, personnel practices, the operations of the department, and national compliance standards.

“NACSA is the largest association of campus safety administrators in the nation and accreditation is peer reviewed by industry leaders from around the country,” Associate Director of Public Safety and Security John Kamm said. “Because the process is specific to the campus safety industry, it is the most credible certification available.”

Lindenwood becomes the first university in Missouri to receive this accreditation, which requires ongoing commitment to process improvement in all four criteria, and excellence in action.
