Mane Event 2020

April 18 - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

At the Library and Academic Resources Center (LARC)

We host Mane Event in an effort to make sure students have everything that they need BEFORE they arrive on campus for the start of the academic semester. At this event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Talk with an academic advisor.
  • Register for classes.
  • Sign up for a housing assignment.
  • Interact with members of student organizations.
  • Get your student ID card.
  • See your academic building.
  • Talk with a Student Financial Services Counselor.
  • Hear our departments share how they will help you succeed at Lindenwood (breakout sessions).
  • Start meeting the Lindenwood class of 2024!

Registration

The session that you register for only addresses the time frame in which your advising appointment takes place. All other activities and opportunities for the day can be participated in whether or not they fall within your session’s time frame.

Schedule Details

Advising

The purpose of the advising appointment is to solidify your class schedule for the Fall 2020 Semester.

Upon your arrival at the check-in table, you will be given an advising appointment card that will have:

  1. An assigned appointment time.
  2. The name of the advisor you will be meeting.
  3. The location for your appointment

These appointments will be given out first-come-first-served, so the earlier you can arrive to claim your appointment, the better!

Campus Tours

Full Campus Tours

  • The full campus tour will include a presentation of the Library, Evans Commons, the Spellmann Center, and a room in our Residence Halls.
  • These tours will be sent out every hour, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. tour.
  • To take a full campus tour, you will need to check in with the tour coordinator underneath the clock tower of the Spellmann Center five minutes prior to the tour departure time.

Academic Building Tours

  • The Academic Building tour allows you to see your academic building specifically, so that you will have a full understanding of your study spaces once you arrive on campus in the fall.
  • The tour should last no longer than 30 minutes, allowing you to participate in other Mane Event Opportunities afterward.
  • To take an Academic Building tour, you will need to check in with the tour coordinator underneath the clock tower of the Spellmann Center.

All-Day Opportunities

Student Organization Fair

  • Interact with various student organizations, as well as some of our Lindenwood Departments on the 4th floor of the Spellmann Center

Apply for Campus Housing

  • You can find our Residential Life representatives on the 3rd floor of the Spellmann Center, across from the Admissions office.
  • A $200 housing deposit is required to secure your housing request. It is preferred that this be paid prior to the event. You can begin the process via the StarRez Portal.

Speak with a Student Financial Services Counselor

  • Do you have questions about your tuition costs, scholarships, or student loans? Our Student Financial Services Counselors will be on hand during the event on the 3rd floor of the Spellmann Center, across from the Admissions office.

Pay your Enrollment Deposit

  • Representatives from our Business Office will be present in the Lobby of the Library throughout the event if you need to make a payment before your advising appointment.

Obtain your Student ID

  • You will want to be picture-ready for this opportunity! Our Library employees will be on hand in the first floor of the Library to make sure you walk out with your Lindenwood Student ID in your pocket.

Earn 25% off at the Lindenwood Bookstore

  • Our Barnes & Noble Representatives will be waiting for you within the Student Organization fair on the 4th Floor of the Spellmann Center.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Lindenwood University is committed to assisting all members of the community in providing for their own safety and security. The annual security and fire safety report is available on the Lindenwood University Office of Public Safety and Security website.

If you would like to receive a hard copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which contains this information, you can stop by the Office of Public Safety & Security on the 4th floor of the Spellmann Campus Center or you can request that a copy be mailed to you by calling (636) 949-4687.

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Lindenwood Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Lindenwood; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

This information is required by law and is provided by Office of Public Safety and Security.
