Biography

Rich Reighard spent nearly a decade during the 1970’s and 80’s in commercial radio and television, mostly in southern Illinois. During that time, he served in various capacities, such as On-Air Personality, News Director, and Program Director. In 1987, he was hired by then Lindenwood College to oversee the daily functions of KCLC, the school’s radio station, and over the years helped it expand from 1,500 watts to its current 50,000-watt, multi-channel status. He began actively teaching various courses for both the English and Communications departments in 1990, including the very first classes designed to teach students how to use e-mail and format content for the then-emerging “Internet.”
