Jacobby Anderson knocked down a three-pointer as time expired and the Lindenwood University–Belleville men’s basketball team took down the NAIA’s No. 1-ranked Freed–Hardeman University Lions. This marked the first time in school history that the Lynx have taken on and defeated a number one-ranked team.

The Lindenwood University Department of Nonprofit Administration will host its fifth annual Lion’s Pride Summer Youth Leadership Project from Wednesday, June 11, through Friday, June 13. The three-day summit will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the St. Charles campus.

Lindenwood University’s 2013-14 Speaker Series will continue with award-winning journalist, writer, and Middle East expert Deborah Horan at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Spellmann Center’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room on the St. Charles campus.

Lindenwood University is the winner of the NCAA’s Division II Award of Excellence for its efforts to raise money and awareness for the cause of Sterling Thomas, a Lindenwood football player who suffered a serious spinal cord injury in October 2012.

Lindenwood University’s MBA program was recognized in a recent edition of the St. Louis Business Journal as the largest in the St. Louis area. The ranking was based on current enrollment in area schools’ MBA programs.

Woodruff Joins Lindenwood as Director of Corporate Relations

Judith M. Blase Woodruff has been named director of corporate relations at Lindenwood University. Her duties include managing the strategy and growth of the school’s corporate relations initiatives and fostering positive working relationships with the regional business community.

Schroeder to Lead New Lindenwood School

Cynthia Schroeder, PhD, has been appointed dean of the newly created School of Sport, Recreation, and Exercise Sciences at Lindenwood University.

Nearly 670 students took part in Lindenwood University’s first-ever December commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Hyland Arena on the St. Charles campus. The total included approximately 370 undergraduate and 300 graduate students. Approximately 3,500 attended the ceremony—some watching on television from overflow seating in the Evans Commons.
