Former St. Louis Cardinal and National Baseball Hall of Famer Lou Brock will host the 19th Annual Lou Brock Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 26, at Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Charles, Mo. All proceeds from the event will benefit Lindenwood University athletics and the Lou Brock Scholarship Fund.

Beginning this fall, Lindenwood University-Belleville will increase its undergraduate degree programs by nearly twofold. New to the list of approved academic programs are bachelor of arts degrees in English, accounting, marketing, finance, and sports management, as well as a bachelor of fine arts in acting.

Lindenwood University’s 11th extension campus, in South O’Fallon, was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011. Lindenwood officials and various individuals with the O’Fallon municipal government and the Chamber of Commerce were on hand to open the new center, which is located at 4701 Highway K, a short distance from Interstate 64.

On Friday, August 5, Lindenwood University-Belleville held a dedication ceremony to officially open the Senator Alan J. Dixon Student Center, honoring the man Lindenwood President Jim Evans referred to as a “hometown hero.” The Dixon Center, part of a continuing capital campaign on the Belleville campus, includes a library, computer lab, snack bar, dining hall, and lounge area with billiards and table tennis.

Lindenwood University's Belleville campus will host a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for its new student center named in honor of former United States Senator Alan J. Dixon on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011.

The Lindenwood University Theatre Department will present the second of two summer productions, John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men,” at 7:30 p.m. on July 28-30 in the university’s Emerson Black Box Theater. Admission is free.

Unlikely romances and colorful characters collide in this summer’s kick-off to our second season, one of Broadway’s most hilarious shows, “Guys and Dolls.” The Brass Rail Players at Lindenwood is proud to present this lively musical comedy as our sixth show for eight performances, July 28-31 and Aug. 4-7.

Lindenwood University is offering students the opportunity to complete the check-in process early. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 11-22, students can visit specific administrative offices, collect verification that all requirements have been satisfied, and become eligible to check directly into the appropriate residential facility or attend the first day of class on Monday, Aug. 22.
