The undefeated and No. 3-ranked Lindenwood University Lions football squad is heading to Rome, GA December 19 to compete for the NAIA national championship. The Lions earned the trip with a victory Saturday over No. 2 Carroll, MT. The Lions will face No. 1 Sioux Falls.
Lindenwood University will host its annual Christmas Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. The free event will feature holiday sights and sounds for all ages.
Lindenwood University Belleville will host free information sessions about its accelerated evening degree programs through the Lindenwood College for Individualized Education (LCIE). Upcoming sessions are scheduled to take place from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8; from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10; and from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. All sessions will be in the main campus building.
Lindenwood University’s new regional studies journal, “The Confluence,” is now available with a selection of thoroughly researched, well-written, thought-provoking articles on the region’s past, present and future.
The Lindenwood University Department of Theatre will continue its 2009-2010 season with the perennial holiday favorite “A Christmas Carol”; performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, 4, and 5 and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6.
Nearly 70 community leaders and friends of Lindenwood University attended the second annual Fall Harvest Luncheon on November 18 in the Lindenwood Auditorium. Proceeds from the event will help fund the construction of Lindenwood’s new Welcome Center, which will feature a lobby area, restrooms, small café, and exhibition and reception space.
Lindenwood University-Belleville is currently registering students for accelerated evening degree programs during the winter quarter term. Lindenwood College for Individuated Education (LCIE) courses begin on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Lindenwood University-Belleville will present a holiday concert performance by the United States Air Force Band of Mid-American at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the school’s auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Lindenwood University’s choirs, orchestra and jazz band will offer their fall concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, 19 and 20, respectively,in the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. Admission is free for all three concerts; the Scheidegger Center is located at 2300 West Clay Street, west of First Capitol Drive, in St. Charles.
Veterans of the United States military may be eligible to receive up to a $3,000 advance in education benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The offer is available to those who meet certain criteria under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
