Lindenwood University will break a new enrollment record Monday with 3,532 resident students when classes begin Monday morning.
A new “commons” student center and an apartment community will be built for students at Lindenwood University, where leaders say more facilities are needed to take pressure off the crowded dining hall and packed residence halls.
Lindenwood University will hold an open house for its new Weldon Spring campus from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 7295 Highway 94 S. At the event, visitors will be able to tour the high-tech facility, talk to faculty and administrators about programs offered there, and even sign up for classes.
Senior Dan Sonderman has won the Fleishman-Hillard Inc. Scholarship of $1,500 in competition sponsored by the Journalism Foundation of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Valerie Riley, a junior at Lindenwood University, has received a national award called the NextGen Leaders Award from American Humanics, Inc. Starting in September, the Lindenwood University Campus YMCA will offer a state-licensed child care program on-site to evening students at the university.
Randy Biggerstaff, head athletic trainer at Lindenwood University, has been named NAIA Head Certified Athletic Trainer of the Year by the National Athletic Trainers Association. The award is the second significant honor for Biggerstaff this year, in which he was also named to the Mid-American Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame.
Lindenwood University will host a panel discussion on blogging as part of Media Literacy Week at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at the main Lindenwood campus in St. Charles. The two-hour event will be in the Anheuser Busch Leadership Room on the fourth floor of the Spellmann Campus Center.
