Grammy-award winning rapper and hip-hop artist Nelly came to the Lindenwood University campus Friday to assist in presenting two scholarships to St. Louis-area students.
Lindenwood University has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association to offer a Master of Science in Nursing program. The approval came in a letter to President James D. Evans on Monday, Aug. 18.
Lindenwood University will host a weekend of activities for families of students on Thursday, Sept. 25, through Saturday, Sept. 27, including a nationally televised football game, movies, other sports, food, opportunities to attend classes, and numerous other activities.

Enyart Veterans Success Center was officially dedicated in a private ceremony and honors Enyart, now a U.S. Congressman. The 22nd Annual Lou Brock Golf Classic will be held on Monday, Sept. 29, at Whitmoor Country Club, located at 1100 Whitmoor Drive, St. Charles, Mo. 63304. The tournament is one of St. Louis’ most exclusive, with all proceeds benefiting Lindenwood University athletics and the Lou Brock Scholarship Fund; registration is currently being accepted.
Shoppers packed the front entrance Wednesday as dignitaries cut the ribbon to open the much-anticipated Lindenwood Schnucks at University Commons. Schnucks employees wore Lindenwood caps, and the LU cheerleaders and mascot entertained the early-morning crowd.

Symposium and Job Fair Scheduled for Sept. 2. At a time when the demand for information technology professionals is blossoming, Lindenwood University is adding a slate of new IT degrees in its accelerated evening program, LCIE. The new degree programs were approved in mid-July by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and will be available starting in the fall quarter of 2014, which begins Sept. 29.

For the second year running, the Lindenwood University Film Series will be a venue for the 2014 St. Louis International Film Festival Kids Festival with free screenings of two films at air-conditioned Young Hall Theatre.
