Lindenwood University’s shotgun sports team has claimed an unprecedented 11th ACUI Clay Target National Championship. The team accomplished its mission Sunday in San Antonio, Texas at the National Shooting Complex.

Lindenwood University has been named a “military friendly” school for 2014 by G.I. Jobs Magazine, an honor the magazine states is given to only 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools nationwide. This is the fifth consecutive year Lindenwood has received the designation.

Lindenwood University will host an Educator Resource Fair from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room of the Spellmann Campus Center on the St. Charles campus. The free event is sponsored by the university’s Kappa Delta Pi Educator Honor Society and will showcase a variety of local organizations and the resources they offer to local educators.

Dr. Brooke Taylor, assistant professor of English, has been selected to present her research at the Midwest Victorian Studies Association’s 2014 conference on April 11-13 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Registration is now open for the Lindenwood University Campus YMCA’s fourth annual Spring into Service day. The event, geared toward making an impact in the community, will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.

Lindenwood University-Belleville’s Student Government Association hosted the Nations Group Race Relation Dialogue on March 25 at 7 p.m. in the Lindenwood Auditorium on campus. The event was free and open to the public.

General

Lindenwood University, a 2014 St. Louis Business Journal Best Places to Work finalist, has been selected by Quantum Workplace as one of three locations nationwide to host a seminar detailing how great corporate cultures are built. The event, Winning with Culture: Learning from America’s “Best Places to Work,” will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, in Harmon Hall’s Dunseth Auditorium on the St. Charles campus.

J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts, College of Arts and Humanities, General

The Lindenwood University Theatre Department will present the classic Russian story of love and betrayal, Anna Karenina, at 7:30 p.m. April 10-12 and at 2 p.m., on April 13 at the university’s Emerson Black Box Theater.
