The Lindenwood University School of Education has formed a new Reading Advisory Council designed to promote effective literary practices among schools in the region. Members exchanged ideas and discussed the group’s mission during the council’s inaugural meeting on Jan. 21 in the Spellmann Campus Center.

The Lindenwood University Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) will host a flag presentation and recognition ceremony for United States military veterans and active duty personnel between men’s and women’s basketball games on Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Hyland Performance Arena. The Lindenwood Lions women’s and men’s teams will play Baker University at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m., respectively.
The Lindenwood University Lions men’s and women’s basketball teams will play William Jewell College in a doubleheader at 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Hyland Performance Arena. Admission is free for all Lindenwood basketball alumni, who will receive special recognition and have the opportunity to attend a reception between games in the arena VIP Room.
Lindenwood University’s Black Student Union will host a ceremony in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, in the third floor atrium of the Spellmann Campus Center. The event is free and open to all members of the community.
