Chesterfield Area Civic Progress will recognize the contributions of two educational institutions, a senator and the world’s largest pharmaceutical company at its 12th annual Excellence in Community Development Awards luncheon.


Mayor Mark Kern, who worked with city and school officials and dozens of community partners to bring Lindenwood University to Belleville, has joined Lindenwood’s 35-member board of directors.


The Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Policy, Management and Budget spoke to Lindenwood University students, faculty and members of the community this afternoon about a kinder, gentler Department of the Interior. Assistant Secretary Lynn Scarlett spoke on "Moving beyond Conflict: Private Stewardship and Conservation Partnerships."

General, Athletics, School of Health Sciences

Lindenwood University’s athletic training program scored a major victory this week with the achievement of national accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.


Assistant Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett will visit Lindenwood University for a lecture October 29 at the Lindenwood University Cultural Center.


A team from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) will be visiting campus October 20-22 to evaluate Lindenwood for continued accreditation. This is a normal 10-year evaluation, and we look forward to showing the team the vibrant and fully mature university that we have all helped build since the 1994 accreditation evaluation.

General, School of Arts, Media, and Communications

More than 70 dancers will take the stage of Jelkyl Theatre, Nov. 6-8, performing African to modern dance styles.


Lindenwood University has set a record this fall with 1,502 students enrolled in its accelerated evening program for adults. That represents an increase of just over 12 percent from the same time period in 2002 when there were 1,335 enrolled.


The Daniel Boone Home and Lindenwood University will host their annual Pioneer Days’ encampment and folk life festival, Sept. 27-28, on the Boone Home grounds in Defiance.
