Richard Anderson, a Lindenwood University adjunct instructor and senior research fellow for the John W. Hammond Institute for Free Enterprise, will visit Birmingham, England, the week of April 18 to help PhD students with their dissertations. Anderson was invited to join a workshop organized by the Money Macro and Finance Research Group, one of the oldest and most prominent academic associations in Europe. The workshop will bring together a set of global educators to work with a select group of U.K. PhD students at the dissertation stage.
With an eye toward the future, Lindenwood University’s School of Sport, Recreation, and Exercise Science will merge this summer with the School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. The two schools, along with the Fire and Paramedic Science Program, will form the new School of Health Sciences.
Edward Morris, Lindenwood professor of finance and former dean of the Robert W. Plaster School of Business & Entrepreneurship, will be a featured speaker for Columbia University’s Lehman Center at noon on Feb. 16. Morris will speak about his book, Wall Streeters: The Creators and Corruptors of American Finance, which was published in October 2015.

Lindenwood University has announced a new $1,000 'Like No Other' Grant for prospective resident or commuter students who enroll in semester classes and who submit their signed enrollment and financial aid agreements by June 1, 2016. The grant is an incentive for incoming undergraduate applicants to complete the fall semester enrollment process early.
Military Advanced Education & Transition (MAE&T) has awarded Lindenwood University-Belleville a “top school” in its 2016 MAE&T Guide to Colleges & Universities, measuring best practices in military and veteran education. President Michael Shonrock has announced that Dr. Michael Mason is assuming the role of chaplain on the Lindenwood University St. Charles campus. He will also assume the Butler Religion Chair, a position that was endowed at the university in 1917.
Two of Lindenwood University’s highly-regarded schools – Communications and Fine and Performing Arts – are joining forces and merging to become the School of Arts, Media, and Communications. The merger is effective in August.
