Lindenwood University will host the fourth annual Lindenwood University Jazz Festival on April 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts.
The Robert W. Plaster School of Business & Entrepreneurship (PSB&E) will host its 10th annual golf fundraiser April 20 at Whitmoor Country Club in Weldon Spring, Mo., from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Each April, PSB&E hosts a charity golf tournament to raise funds in support of numerous student-related initiatives within PSB&E and as a way to support charitable organizations throughout the St. Louis region.
Lindenwood University’s School of Education will hold the first meeting of its reorganized 2016-2017 Teacher Education Advisory Panel at 5:30 p.m. on April 18 in the university’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room, located in the Spellmann Campus Center on the St. Charles campus.
St. Louis University’s Stefan M. Bradley will present “Rescuing American Democracy: Black Youth and the March to Freedom” as part of Lindenwood University’s American Culture Speaker Series at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, in Harmon Hall’s Dunseth Auditorium.
A team of students from Lindenwood University’s Robert W. Plaster School of Business & Entrepreneurship was one of six from Missouri and Illinois to take part in the Certified Financial Analysts Society of St. Louis competition on Feb. 17 at Edward D. Jones in St. Louis.
Lindenwood University alumna Racheal Beard, who founded Lindenwood Belleville’s cheerleading program five years ago, has returned to lead the Lynx cheer squad. “When I left the first time, I really didn’t want to leave, and I never fully went away,” explained Beard, who stepped down to focus on a new job as a nursing professor at another university. “I’m so glad to have the opportunity to come back and pick up where I left off.”

Lindenwood University’s Hammond Institute and Gender Studies Program are jointly presenting a program on society’s notions of masculinity, featuring two leading intellectuals on the subject, at 6:30 p.m. March 1 in the Spellmann Campus Center’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room on the university’s St. Charles campus.
The future of Southern Illinois transportation passed last week through Lindenwood University-Belleville. The university on Feb. 6 hosted the Southwestern Illinois Leadership Council’s regional transportation discussion panel. During the event, state and private transportation leaders pondered the future of multi-modal priorities, America’s Central Port, Mid-America Airport, and transportation funding in Illinois.
Sportscasters John Kelly, of the St. Louis Blues, and Dan McLaughlin, of the St. Louis Cardinals, will speak at 4 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Lindenwood University’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room in the Spellmann Campus Center. The event benefits Lindenwood’s chapter of the National Broadcasting Society—Alpha Epsilon Rho, which is presenting the event with the university’s School of Arts, Media, and Communication.
