On Nov. 2, 2012, the Missouri Department of Transportation closed the westbound span of the Blanchette Memorial Bridge at the Interstate 70 crossing of the Missouri River. Traffic in both directions will use the current eastbound span of the bridge while a year-long renovation project for the westbound span is in progress.
Lindenwood University will operate as usual throughout the project, and we do not anticipate any significant inconvenience for commuters who live east of the Missouri River.
There are three lanes each available on the Blanchette Bridge to westbound and eastbound travelers. In addition, Missouri River bridges are available on Highway 364 (Page Avenue) and Highway 370, both of which are accessible from Interstate 270 and provide easy access to the University.
The attached map illustrates both routes and includes directions on how they can be best used to access the university.
