Nancy Calvert ('61) on Friday was presented the prestigious Sibley Medallion of Honor for her service and deep commitment to Lindenwood University.
The award was presented by Acting President James D. Evans and Board Chairman Jim J. Shoemake at Lindenwood's Butler Society Dinner. The Sibley Medallion is given annually to a community leader whose dedication and support continues the Lindenwood legacy established so long ago by founders Major George and Mary Easton Sibley.
Calvert is a veteran communicator. She has a decorated resume with expertise in advertising and public relations, branding, internal communications, sales promotion and more.
Calvert has used her skills in a variety of ways at Lindenwood, particularly in the area of strategic communications. As a member of the Lindenwood Communications Council, Calvert advises the administration on a wide range of communications needs and policies.
Calvert is a longtime member of the Lindenwood University board of directors and serves on the executive committee. She is chairman of the Mission and Purpose Committee and is active on the Strategic Planning Committee.
