Visitors to Facebook can now become “fans” of Lindenwood University. Those who become fans can view and post pictures, comment on campus news, and connect with fellow friends of the university.
“It’s one of the fastest and most convenient ways to stay up-to-date on all of the developments at Lindenwood,” said Jill Falk, assistant professor in the School of Communications. “There are several expansion projects currently under way, and visitors can watch the progress unfold right before their eyes in the construction and expansion photo album.”
The on-line album features pictures and information about the remodeling and expansion of Lindenwood’s Harmon Hall, as well as the construction of a new LU Commons student center and an impressive stone entrance gate at the intersection of First Capitol Drive and Kingshighway.
“The photo albums are just one of many reasons to visit us on Facebook,” Falk said. “These are exciting times for Lindenwood and our fan page makes it possible for everyone to share those experiences along with us.”
Users can locate the school’s page by logging on to www.facebook.com and entering “Lindenwood University” in the search box in the upper right-hand corner. Once the page has been located (it has a photo of Lindenwood’s historic Kingshighway gate), users can click on “Become a Fan” to begin receiving notifications when updated news items and pictures are posted.
