Tara Brandley, graduate assistant in student services at Lindenwood University-Belleville, has been selected to be the campus’ first director of student housing, effective May 1.
“I am thrilled to be a part of such a new and thriving part of Lindenwood Belleville,” said Brandley. “Our student housing program is relatively new, but it is one area of campus life that is growing at an incredibly fast rate."
During the 2010-2011 academic year, Brandley worked closely with Dr. Angela Wingo, dean of student services, to ensure that residential students were provided appropriate housing assignments, familiarizing her with the university and the needs of its growing residential student population. As director of student housing, she will oversee student housing assignments and coordinate the student Work & Learn program at Lindenwood Belleville.
“We are so lucky to have Tara as our director of student housing,” said Wingo. “Her high level of professionalism, along with her ability to connect and relate to the students on a meaningful level, makes her perfect for the position.”
Brandley received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Lindenwood Belleville in September 2010 and is working on her master’s degree.
