Francis Howell Central Grad Receives Pachyderm Scholarship

Paige Sparks, a 2011 Francis Howell Central graduate, has been named the recipient of the 2011 Lindenwood University Pachyderm scholarship, which is presented in cooperation with the St. Charles Country Pachyderm Club.


Sparks will attend Lindenwood University in the fall 2011 semester and plans to major in political science with the ultimate goal of becoming a prosecuting attorney. The Pachyderm scholarship, presented to Sparks at the club’s meeting on May 20 at the Golden Corral restaurant in St. Charles, is a $1,000 award, renewable annually.

Active throughout high school, Sparks has served as president of the Young Republicans Club and has been involved in organizations including Speech and Debate Club, Junior and Senior Class Delegates, MU Alpha Theta Math Club, and Honors Society.

Sparks is a member of O’Fallon First Baptist Church and in her free time enjoys recreational horseback riding and English show jumping, baking, and working at Sweet Idea Bakery.
