Lindenwood University faculty and staff are working from home and all on-campus offices are closed to the public and university employees. Intercultural Club to Hold MLK Day Observance

The Lindenwood University Intercultural Club will hold a ceremony in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room of the Spellmann Campus Center.

The event, called “Remember, Celebrate, Act,” is open to all members of the Lindenwood community, as well as members of the public. Remarks from Dr. James Evans, acting president of Lindenwood University, and from Dean Pernell Witherspoon, criminal justice professor, will highlight the afternoon of prayer, dance, song, and a short video memorializing King and his work in civil rights.

Observance of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day will continue in the evening with a dinner in the cafeteria featuring a special menu. In addition, the cafeteria will be decorated in recognition of Martin Luther King. The dinner is held annually.
