Lacey Levin from Belleville, Ill., has been named associate director of day admissions at the Lindenwood University campus in Belleville. She is responsible for overseeing student recruitment, enrollment and retention programs.
Prior to coming to Lindenwood, Levin worked for 10 years as an English teacher. Her most recent position was at Belleville East High School.
She says she is looking forward to giving back to the community and to her alma mater.
“I was born and raised in Belleville, and I was in the very first class to graduate from the Lindenwood campus in Belleville,” Levin said. “That class included 15 people and now enrollment is around 1200. I’m glad I’ll be able to watch the university progress, and as an alum I want to help it thrive in any way I can.”
Levin holds master’s degrees in education and education administration from the university, as well as an educational specialist degree from Lindenwood. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in education administration, and anticipates completion of the program in May 2009.
