Lindenwood University is offering three courses to help prospective students get a head start on the spring semester.
Modeled after Lindenwood’s successful “J-Term” or January term, the classes begin meeting October 28. The classes meet fewer weeks than the traditional semester courses, but they meet for a much longer period of time each week, said Provost Jim Evans.
The classes are Microcomputer Applications, English Comp I and Contemporary Math.
Evans said he though this was a perfect opportunity for those who missed out on Lindenwood’s Jump Start program and still wanted to attend college but not wait until the beginning of the spring semester.
He said the program is exclusively for freshmen. Evans added that if a prospective student were interested in full-time studies, he or she could take these three courses and Lindenwood officials would work with the student to develop individualized coursework to accomplish a 12- or 15-hour schedule.
