Lindenwood University is pleased to announce it has received a scholarship grant through the Missouri Colleges Fund (MCF), which recently received a $20,000 donation from Edward Jones. As an MCF member school, the university will receive a portion of those funds to award a scholarship to one qualified candidate majoring in business-related studies.
“This is exciting news for us because we not only work to determine admissions standards and qualifications, but we also strive to create financial aid strategies for our students,” said Joe Parisi, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions. “Through the underwritten Edward Jones scholarships to MCF member schools, we can offer our students additional financial aid opportunities.”
Lindenwood is among 16 other MCF schools who received funds through the grant. Each institution will be able to distribute one award in the amount of $1,176.
Applicants at Lindenwood will undergo a rigorous review process, and a candidate will be selected by admissions personnel based on outstanding qualifications and financial need. The selection process is expected to be complete by Feb. 1, 2013.
