Pep Band to Energize Events This Fall

Lindenwood Belleville students will have the opportunity to participate in the campus’ first-ever pep band this fall. Dr. Jeffrey Barudin, adjunct faculty member in the School of Fine and Performing Arts at Lindenwood in St. Charles, will be directing the newly created Lindenwood University-Belleville Athletic Pep Band. The university intends to develop it into a marching band in the future.

“Lindenwood Belleville is a growing campus, and we’re very excited to create this band,” said Barudin. “Our plan is to perform at all football and basketball games. We’ll eventually become a marching band but are planning on performing from the stands for this first year. Our job will be to energize the teams and the crowd and really bring the Lindenwood Belleville spirit to the games!”

The pep band will serve as a credited course through the university, and students will receive academic credit hours for participating.

Scholarship and work-and-learn opportunities are available for qualifying students who join the pep band.
