Reis Named Interim Director of Athletics at Lindenwood Belleville

Lindenwood University–Belleville President Brett Barger announced earlier this week that Annie Reis has been named the interim director of athletics at the campus.

Annie ReisReis started her career with Lindenwood Belleville in 2010 as the head women's basketball coach and an LCIE (now Accelerated Degree Programs) advisor and faculty member. In 2011, Reis was named assistant director of athletics and stepped down as the head women's basketball coach after the 2012-13 season to solely focus on her assistant director of athletics role.

In her time as an administrator, Reis guided the Athletics Department to its26-sport membership in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). She also assisted Lindenwood Belleville to its first conference memberships with acceptance into the American Midwest Conference (AMC) and Mid-States Football Association (MSFA). In the past two years, Reis oversaw the event and game management staff for all home games at the Belleville campus and oversaw the event management staff for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 National Women's Lacrosse League National Championship.

In her three seasons as head coach of the Lady Lynx basketball program, Reis compiled a record of 43-53, including a 20-13 record during the 2012-13 season. Reis coached seven USCAA All-Americans and five USCAA players of the week.

Prior to her career in intercollegiate athletics, Reis was an associate attorney at Kozeney and McCubbin, LC, in St. Louis, Mo. She advised clients on Missouri, Nebraska, and Kansas legal matters involving real estate law, foreclosures, evictions, and bankruptcy.

Reis graduated from the University of Dayton in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She then earned her J.D. (Certificate in Health Law) from Saint Louis University School of Law.

A search for the new director of athletics at Lindenwood Belleville, headed by Barger, will begin soon.
