On Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, Lindenwood University added its 107th international flag, representing the African nation of Rwanda, to the collection lining the Evans Commons corridor. The flags represent the countries of origin for the international student body at Lindenwood.
Dr. Ryan Guffey, associate vice president for global education, led the flag-raising event with Rwandan students Davina Agasaro, a junior in public health, and Dogo Mukiza, a freshman computer science major.
“Today, not only can you call Rwanda home, but also Lindenwood University,” Guffey said at the event to Agasaro and Mukiza. “The raising of this flag represents Lindenwood’s sincere commitment to educating the next generation of Rwanda leaders.”
